Cheap Dates

Steve and I are officially an "old married couple" now. Sad, considering we have only been married for 2 years and 4 months. We are both very busy with Steve going to school and working and me working and going to school. Life is busy and tiring so by the time we get home we are too lazy to think of any fun, free/cheap things to do. We went to the library the other night...which I thought was fun.
I am making a request for help. What do you and your spouse do for fun? (Please do not say TV or playing computer games or I will SCREAM!) : )

Danielle, I am so excited to find your blog! I saw Chelsi today at the intern meeting and I thought of you. I wish I had great ideas on good dates for you and Steve, but Quinton and I are also an "old married couple." We are celebrating #3 next week! We usually go to the Temple or out to eat as our dates! Also, we buy all-sports tickets and attend all the football and basketball games, which are free. Quinton had to watch a few movies at the International cinema on campus. I slightly enjoyed one of the three. That might be a risky date as far as enjoyment goes, but it is free! Let me know if you have other ideas, because we need some as well!

I just want to go on a date! Cheap or not! Just kidding. I don't really have any fabulous ideas, and I don't know how cheap you mean. One time Ryan and I went to the nickelcade. It was kind of ghetto, but actually really fun. THey always have two for one coupons. You can always come to our house and we could play games or do fun things, or you could just watch our kids. j/k
I will keep thinking and if I come up with anything I will let you know.

I hate to break it to you but once in dental school, your dating life will go even more downhill. It's a good night if we go rent a movie instead of just watching one we already own. Ever since we invested in cable, we usually find a movie on TV. Tyson picked me up from work one time and said he had a date planned for me. I was so excited until I got home and the planned date was to grill steaks and watch college football "all night!" I love college football and all but honestly, for our date night? We do that almost every other day of the week! Anyway it's a good thing I didn't marry Tyson for his date planning skills! I hope you had a fantastic Christmas and hopefully we can see each other someday.
